Fay Weldon launches her new novel Chalcot Crescent, which tells the story of Frances, the author's never-born younger sister, an unreliable narrator who blends history and fiction to create a sparkling and prophetic portrait of a once and future Britain – told with Weldon’s celebrated wit and imagination. New Zealand-born, Weldon is best known for her novels Praxis, Life and Loves of a She-Devil and Worst Fears. She is also the creator of the slogan 'Go to work on an egg', writer of the first ever episode of Upstairs Downstairs and current Professor of Creative Writing at Brunel University.
