This two-day course (also Sunday 19th) will enable participants to use the Modern and Contemporary galleries at Manchester Art Gallery as new sources of inspiration for their writing, as well as providing them with guidance for developing their craft. Participants will spend time looking at art works, writing poems, and sharing their work with the group. The course is designed for people with some prior experience of writing poetry. The course will be led by our specially commissioned poet Linda Chase, whose own collections include The Wedding Spy and Extended Family, both published by Carcanet.
