Paul Gravett, director of the Comica Festival, returns to the Literature Festival to host an illustrated discussion with our panel of graphic novelists. Hannah Berry’s debut novel Britten and Brulightly is a stylish noir published by Cape. Paul Grist is the author of two ongoing and popular graphic series; one featuring the detective Kane and the other the time-hopping Jack Staff. Bryan Talbot’s The Tale of One Bad Rat is the story of a young girl, Helen Potter, who runs away to the Lake District to escape an uncaring mother and a sexually abusive father, drawn there by her love of Beatrix Potter.
