Poets Suzanne Batty, Ann Caldwell & Nell Farrell turn their talent to life writing as they present work from a new anthology on the theme of mothers and daughters.

Suzanne Batty's collection of poems The Barking Thing is published by Bloodaxe Books. She works as a creative writing tutor at Sheffield Hallam University and for writing groups in the community. She is currently working on a stage play and a collection of short fiction.

Born in London, Anne Caldwell grew up in the North West. She now lives in a Pennine village with her son. Her poetry has previously been published in three anthologies - Poet's Cheshire (Headland), The Nerve (Virago) and Only Connect (Cinnamon Press). Her work has appeared in many British magazines including Poetry Wales and Quattrocento. She is currently working on her first pamphlet collection due to by published by Happenstance later this year.

Nell Farrell was born in Eastwood, Notts, so shares her birthplace with D.H. Lawrence.  She lives in Sheffield where she works in social work education and as a creative writing tutor with writers aged from 10 to 85. She has been published in a variety poetry journals and her short collection The Wrong Evangeline was published by Panshine Press in 2003.
