Bloggers were invited to help shape the festival’s especially commissioned Blog Story, What Would You Do?, which was published in weekly episodes starting on Tuesday 4th September. Elizabeth Baines unfolded a witty tale of urban life set in real time Manchester. Each week readers were able to vote on future plot direction, moving characters into venues and scenarios of their choosing. The final instalment was thrillingly performed live at the Manchester Blog Awards on Wednesday 10th October. To find out more visit: manchesterblogstories.blogspot.com
Elizabeth Baines is the author of prizewinning plays and prose fiction. Her new book, Balancing on the Edge of the World (Salt) is a collection of short stories exploring the nature of power: children struggle without it, adults fight to gain or keep it, and most discover that when it comes to power, nothing is ever quite what it seems. Elizabeth's website is at www.elizabethbaines.com and she blogs at elizabethbaines.blogspot.com
