Speakeasy

Speakeasy is one of Manchester’s most vibrant spoken word and music nights. There was a special youth focus to this festival Speakeasy which featured Young Identity - a group of South Manchester writers aged 13 -19, who meet regularly at Moss Side Millennium Powerhouse. As Inna Voice they compete in poetry slams and attend performance poetry events across the country, and have won accolades as well as medals. There was a special guest appearance from El Crisis who performed his hypnotic mixture of rap, spoken word, power and chant.
