Carol Ann Duffy

We were delighted to be hosting this family friendly event featuring one of British poetry's superstars, Carol Ann Duffy. With musical accompaniment from John Sampson, Carol Ann performed from her various children's collections, including her latest, The Hat, which follows the mischievous journey of Hat blown through history, from one literary head to another, quoting its owner’s most famous lines as it goes. These charming, witty and infectiously enjoyable poems were a hit with an audience of all ages. Carol Ann Duffy has won many prizes for poetry, including the T.S Eliot Prize for Rapture and the Signal Prize for Children’s Poetry for The Oldest Girl in the World.
